Adam is the Barber at Hair Studio 5. He had the opportunity to learn his trade of barbering through the N.Y.S. Apprentice Barbering Program.
He learned the "ART" of barbering from no other than our late belovedErmenegildo "GILDO" Martilotta who was the salon's previous barber for 40 years.
Gildo began cutting hair as an apprentice in Italy under his father's supervision in Calabria. Then Gildo moved to Rome and Florence prior to coming to America.
Adam respected Gildo's teaching technique's, his knowledge and most of all his friendship.

Gildo, we miss you!
October 14, 2008 Our long time friend and barber, Ermenegildo "Gildo" Mar-tilotta, passed away. Gildo was born and raised in Cetraro, Italy. He moved to the Syracuse area in 1968. Gildo started cutting hair at age 11 in his father's barber shop. Throughout his 40 years with Hair Studio 5 in Camillus, he made countless lifelong friends. Gildo enjoyed many sports and was a big follower of West Genesee High School lacrosse.
